Amy Witting used to be born in Annandale, an internal suburb of Sydney, in 1918. She attended Sydney collage, then taught French and English in kingdom colleges. starting past due in lifestyles she released six novels, including The Visit, I for Isobel, Isobel as a way to the nook Shop and Maria’s War; two collections of brief tales; books of verse, Travel Diary and Beauty Is the Straw; and her Collected Poems.
She had a variety of poems and brief tales released in magazines such as Quadrant and the New Yorker.
Witting was once provided the 1993 Patrick White Prize. Isobel with a view to the nook Shop won the Age Book of the 12 months Award.
Amy Witting died in 2001.
